CEU UCH and Mensoft promote sensor technology and digitalization in the pig farming sector with a technical conference in Valencia

CEU Cardenal Herrera University (CEU UCH) and Mensoft held a conference in Valencia on the possibilities of sensor technology and digitalization applicable to the swine sector to improve aspects such as its efficiency, sustainability, and biosecurity. This is the first technical conference organized by the new Mensoft-CEU UCH Research Chair, created by both entities to promote the development of technological solutions adapted to different areas of human and animal health, to improve their sustainability, food safety, and animal welfare.

During the day, BDporc participated in the round table on Efficiency and Sustainability, moderated by Salvador Calvet (UPV), Isabel Fernández Bastida (CEFUSA), and Eduardo Alegre (Nealia, VallCompanys Grup). Key topics addressed in this discussion included:

• Added value of data and its utilization.

• Opportunities and challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
