The agreement between the multinational specialized in animal health and the research institute will extend to collaborations in digitization and swine health
The Institute for Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA) and the multinational specialized in animal health Ceva Salud Animal have signed a collaboration agreement under which the latter becomes the main partner in the organization of the Porc d’Or Awards. Thus, Ceva Animal Health becomes the main partner in the organization of the White Layer Porc d’Or and Iberian Porc d’Or Awards, together with the White Layer Porcine Interprofessional Association (INTERPORC) and the Iberian Pig Interprofessional Association ( ASICI), respectively.
The Porc d’Or Awards are given annually and have the objective of recognizing excellence in swine production. They are an event with great significance in the pig sector, and serve as an incentive for farmers and companies to continuously improve their efficiency and sustainability.
The agreement between IRTA and Ceva will be extended with collaborations in the fields of digitization and information systems, diagnostic tests and other aspects of swine health. “We are very happy with the incorporation of Ceva as a new partner of the awards, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Capa Blanca Porc d’Or Awards and in full digital transformation of the Porcine Database (BDporc),” says Carles Rosell,Manager of the IRTA Animal Production Area.
For his part, Alberto Llop, CEO of Ceva, states: “We are extremely proud to start a new stage as a partner of IRTA and as the main partner in the organization of the Porc d’Or Awards. For us, it is not only a great honor, but also a privilege to be next to the producers, recognizing and rewarding their daily work. We are sure that this agreement will bear great fruits that will have a beneficial impact on the pig sector in our country. Ceva continues to reinforce its commitment to livestock by sealing a strategic alliance with IRTA, INTERPORC and ASICI”.
